Poetry Debut in The Southern Review

The summer 2019 issue of The Southern Review, in which I make my poetry debut, is out! I couldn’t ask for a better or more appropriate home for my poems “Blue Sailors” and Les bleuets,” which bear a connection to Baton Rouge, the birthplace of my late husband, Patrick. Special thanks to Jessica Faust for believing in and publishing these two poems. Their inclusion in the summer issue feels in so many ways like a homecoming.
