Appointed to NPOAS Advisory Council

I am honored and excited to announce that I have been appointed to the Advisory Council of NPOAS, a nonprofit advocating for the right to optimal aesthetic outcomes – surgical closures – for BC patients who choose to live flat after mastectomy. I look forward to sharing both my sociocultural expertise and personal experience to advocate for aesthetic flat closure and combat flat denial (i.e., “when a surgeon disregards the patient’s consent and fails to perform the agreed upon aesthetic flat closure”). Please visit the Not Putting on a Shirt (NPOAS) website to explore & learn more.
